Local Community Performs Traditional RitualsLocal Community Performs Ritual Ceremony To Pave Way For The Start Of The Mining Phase

On 03 November 2024, a traditional ritual ceremony was held by the local community of Vieux Tono Village, near the Milingui Iron Ore site, to seek ancestral blessings for the launch of the mining phase of the project. In accordance with longstanding cultural practices, such ceremonies are performed before any activities that may disturb the natural order. The event, deeply rooted in local customs, reflects the community’s spiritual connection to the land and their ancestors. Havilah Mining Gabon fully respects and supports these traditions, recognizing their importance in fostering mutual trust and cultural harmony.

As an integral part of the local community, Havilah is committed to honoring and preserving the values and beliefs of the people in the regions where we operate. Participating in and supporting such ceremonies reaffirms our dedication to responsible development and sustainable partnerships with host communities throughout the mining lifecycle.
